Winter Series FAQ How do I join the Buck County Roadrunners? BCRR memberships run from the start of the Winter Series on November 27th through November of the following year. You can download the registration form from this Web Site at: http://www.bcrr.info/winter_series_files/BCRR_Membership_2011_12.pdf. Complete the form and mail it in with the appropriate payment to the address shown on the form. Online registration is also available via Active.com at http://www.active.com/running/newtown-pa/bcrr-/winter-series-2011. There is a $5 discount per membership (individual or family) to help offset the online registration fees. You can also join the club at any Winter Series race. How do I sign up for the BCRR Winter Series? The same form and online option is used to sign up for the BCRR Winter Series as for joining the BCRR. Please use the links shown above. Both online and paper registration provides the option to sign up for the Winter Series only, although you must be a member of the BCRR to be eligible for overall and age group awards. Do I need to be a member of the BCRR to run in the Winter Series? No. The races are open to the public and can be run on an a la carte basis. However, you must be a BCRR member to be eligible for overall and age group Winter Series awards. If you are going to sign up for the Winter Series, the additional cost of becoming a BCRR member is minimal. Can I sign up for individual Winter Series races? Yes. If you prefer only to run a limited number of Winter Series races, you can sign up for each race individually. This can be done on the day of each race. What does it cost to run a Winter Series race? The fee for single races run a la carte is $5. The cost of the entire Winter Series depends on whether you are a BCRR member, when you sign up, and whether or not you use paper or online registration. All runners are encouraged to register and check in for each race at least 30 minutes before the start of the race. Must I volunteer for a Winter Series race?
